National League Local Rules as per Coaches Meeting
1: Once you show the bunt batting position, you must stay in that position for that
pitch. In other words, no slap bunts.
2: Full 1 hour 30 minute time. A new inning starts with the third out of the previous
inning. The new inning will finish as per regular baseball rules.
3: The teams for any game after the first game of the day, will have 15 minutes to
complete their warm up. Visitors go first and home team finishes at which time
the game will begin. Umpire will announce to each coach when he starts his
watch. The plate umpire has the only official watch.
4: Bat Sling - Each team will get 1 bench warning. In the event the umpire calls a
batter for slinging a bat, the subsequent play will stand and the offending batter
will be ejected. There is not an out. The player who made the last out, will take
the place of the ejected batter if he ended up on base. The plate umpire has sole
judgment on what he considers to be “slinging the bat”.
